Riding Boondall Wetlands

Took this video on my first ride since relocating to Brisbane, Australia.

The ride itself was great – had no clue where I was going, took at least 10 wrong turns, and managed to avoid the drop bears!

Not a drop bear in sight

Wainuiomata Hill descent

I’ve been tinkering around with a Shimano CM-1000 Sports Camera I bought a while ago and captured this footage from a ride the other day. I added the telemetry data with the Garmin VIRB software (the Shimano app is garbage).

The footage itself is a descent into Lower Hutt from the top of Wainuiomata hill in Wellington, NZ. It was into a blustery headwind – as evidenced by the pedalling downhill and my front wheel being caught by the wind more than a few times!

Just perfect

I probably come back to rewatch this video once a month or so: Brandon Semenuk’s wonderous one-shot mountain bike run. Enjoy.
